Our Summer Adventures 2010!

Our summer has been quite a riot with Ethan being way more energetic and mobile. It doesn't help that I have been pregnant this summer, but it has kept me very active and I probably have received a better tan this year than in years past, what with all the time we have spent outside. But, here are just a few snapshots of our summer. We have had a memorable one...to say the least!

This year was kind of a bitter-sweet summer for Mike's family, because Grandpa participated in his last parade as a fireman. So, we woke up really early on July 3rd and got Ethan and Mike to ride on a Fire truck. This picture was of Ethan after the parade was over, he thought that this police car/atv was the coolest thing he could get his hands on. So, hopefully we don't produce criminals...but he really liked this. We would be proud to have a police officer as a son!

Here is the pictures of the kids on the ladder truck. It was quite fun to see them up here. Ethan was just awe-struck! It was pretty fun...even if it was a 7 a.m.















This year, we found a great invention for toddlers and mommies... Squirt Parks. They are wonderful! We spent quite a few hot days here at the park in Riverton with my mom and Ethan running through the sprinklers. The water was always so cold, so it took him just a few minutes to get used to it. But after that, he enjoyed every minute!













We took Ethan to the Zoo for the first time in his life. I think as he gets older, we will be spending more time there, but he really enjoyed the Zoo. More so for the running that he was able to get in and the merry-go-round. He really loved this!

And, don't think that we spent all summer just playing. Yes, with a house, we have had to do some work outside. I have been very impressed with all the work that we were able to accomplish with our yard this year. Here is the cutest picture of Ethan and Grandpa Cluff out mowing the lawn. And yes, our sidewalks and driveway has never looked better.

It's Going to be a GIRL!

Well, I just thought that I should update our blog a little bit for those of you who haven't seen us in a while. We are expecting our second baby on or around the 15th of November. Yep, that is right...a day after Mike's birthday. He is pretty excited about it. Well, we recently found out that we are going to be putting forth some of our hard earned cash to buy....GIRL STUFF!! Yep, we are going to be welcoming to our family a cute (hopefully) little girl. Which to be completely honest, was not a surprise to Mike or I. We have been thinking this one was a girl, but now it is confirmed. Which of course, brings on the stress and dumb-foundedness that all parents experience I think. We now are working on switching our brains from all boy to adding a little pink into our lives. As for names....DON'T EVEN ASK! Mike and I have a very hard time agreeing on names, so any help with that part of the decision making would be very much appreciated.

A huge milestone for Sara!

Well, I just have to brag for just a minute about the wonderful husband I have. Mike is awesome! He is always trying to find ways to make me happy! (Which he should know by now that it isn't hard to do!) But, he bought me something for our house that I have been wanting for quite some time now...so I thought that I would just share it with you all!

Now, I can enjoy music in my own home. Thanks Mike for appreciating music and accomplishing this goal for me! I love you tons!

Much Needed Update...

Well, there have been lots of things that have happened over the past few months since I last posted. First of all, we moved into our new house. Well, it isn't a new house, but it is new to us! Yippee for our own space. We love it. The ward is great and we are starting to feel welcomed and included in it. We actually just got callings... (Sara was very much ready for a new calling, since she has been out of the loop for a little while...she is a social bug!) Mike just got called as the assistant scout master and advisor to the deacon's quorum and Sara was called to the Primary Chorister. Both of us are extremely excited about our callings and the new adventures they will take us on. And...(drum roll please...) Ethan is going to nursery now!! Yeah!!

In January, after a week and a half in our new house, Sara up and left for a week with her Mom and sisters. They went to San Francisco. It was a very exciting trip. Here are just a few shots of our adventures there.


Sara found her store. It had the coolest things every...ALL for LEFT HANDED PEOPLE! Yeah!

We drove up highway 1 and saw plenty of the ocean and great lighthouses. It was beautiful. Cold, but beautiful!

And of course....CHOCOLATE! We had the best hot fudge sundaes here. We had a great time.

China Town...(need we say more?!)

And...the reason for the trip in the first place...It was the best show I have ever seen! It is so worth every penny and more. We left already planning the next trip with the hubbies!

We spent most of the time here on the pier. It was fun going to all the shops and eating lots and lots of sourdough bread! Yummy!

Our beautiful selves after moving into the house. We are so happy to be here. We are making it our own very slowly, but it is coming along well!

Halloween 2009!

Can everyone say, "Quack, Quack!" Yep, that is right. Instead of Trick-or-Treat, it was Quack, Quack. He had an absolute blast! He loved his costume. He was the cutest duck I have ever laid eyes on!

And now for the unveiling...

Well, after much diliberation and severe persuasion from my husband, I (well, WE) are now proud owners of a new car...wait, scratch that...a new MINIVAN! Oh, my goodness, I have become something I didn't want to have to become for quite a few more years (if I could have helped it in any way...) I have become...

a Minivan Mom!

Yep, that is right. We decided that it would be probably a better choice to go up than do something similar than the stratus, and have to get something bigger in a few years. So, here it is. Although, I must admit...those car designers have gotten pretty cleaver at enticing people to buy minivans. There are quite a few bells and whistles on this bad boy. I think I might even survive this transition!

So, I guess, if I think about it enough, then I can get used to the idea. It will be a good situation for us! Anyone for a road trip?!?
